This project acts as a massive hub connecting AI models to the outside world. Its core goal is to link any AI model to over 1,200 integrations, supporting Model Context Protocol (MCP), CLI, and API connections. The hard part of building agents is not getting the model to generate text, but getting it to interact with systems and tools. Metorial attempts to unify scattered toolchains through standardized interfaces. If you are building agentic workflows or need large models to directly manipulate containers and external services, a middleware offering this many ready-to-use integrations saves a lot of glue code.
